Gym Rules & Member Etiquette

To maintain a safe, hygienic, and respectful environment for all members, we ask that everyone follows the rules below while using our facilities.

1. Dress Code

Appropriate Footwear.  Sports trainers with a secure grip are strongly encouraged. Slides, flip-flops, sandals, Crocs, or other loose-fitting footwear are not allowed.

Clothing.  Members must wear suitable gym clothing designed for physical activity.
Jeans, work trousers, or non-athletic clothing are not permitted.  Clothing that might cause offence to other gym users, with inappropriate logos, images, or language, are not permitted.

Training topless is not allowed.  This supports hygiene and a comfortable environment for everyone to train in the gym.

Clean Footwear.  Please ensure shoes are cleaned on the entrance mat or bring a separate clean pair to change into.  This keeps the floor clean and reduces the risk of any slip hazards.

2. Photography, Filming & Content Creation Policy

Do not film or photograph other members without their explicit consent.

Tripods, lighting, or large recording setups are not permitted during peak periods.

Filming must not block fire exits, equipment, walkways, or disrupt any other gym users.

Photography and filming are prohibited in the changing rooms and private areas.

Staff have the right to ask a member to stop filming / photographing, if it affects safety, comfort, or privacy.

3. Needles, Syringes & Medical Disposal

The use of needles or syringes in the gym is restricted for health and safety reasons.

Only genuine medical injections (e.g., insulin, EpiPens, emergency medication) are permitted.

The use of needles for non-medical reasons, including steroids or performance-enhancing substances, is strictly prohibited.

Needles or sharps must never be disposed of in gym bins due to biohazard risks and contamination of others.

Medical injections must be safely removed from the gym, with any sharps disposed of safely at home.

Members with medical requirements may speak to staff discreetly for guidance.

4. Hygiene & Cleanliness

Wipe down all equipment after use.

Use the cleaning stations provided.

Bring a towel where possible.

Clean up chalk residues or spills immediately.

Keep bags and personal belongings out of walkways and always allow access to fire exits.

5. Equipment Use & Gym Etiquette

Do not drop weights unnecessarily or slam equipment.

Re-rack all weights, dumbbells, and attachments to their original location after use.

Large items (e.g., SkiErg, Air Bike, plyo boxes, benches, etc.) must be returned to their original position after use.

Be mindful of others and keep rest times reasonable.

6. Conduct & Behaviour

Treat staff and fellow members with respect and courtesy.

Aggressive, intimidating, or disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated.

Report damaged equipment or unsafe behaviour immediately.

Maintain respectful noise levels; avoid excessive shouting or swearing.

7. Check-In & Access Requirements

All members must scan in using the ClubRight app upon arrival — no exceptions for health, safety, and legal reasons.  This applies when arriving with another member.

Access may be restricted if membership payments are overdue until payment has cleared. Members must ensure their payment method is up to date.

8. Lockers
Lockers are provided for daily use only.  For security reasons, members and guests must store personal belongings in the lockers provided.

Items left in lockers overnight will be removed and treated as lost property the following day.

The gym is not responsible for unattended valuables left outside lockers.

9. Lost Property

Any items found on the premises must be handed to reception.

Items without identifiable ownership will be stored for six weeks.

After six weeks, unclaimed items will be donated to local charities.

Items that appear valuable may be sold, with proceeds donated to charity.

10. Children & Pets on Site

For health, safety, and insurance reasons, no children under 15 are permitted on site.

Children aged 15–17 may only attend with an active youth membership and parental consent (if applicable).

No pets are allowed inside the gym or training areas.

Exceptions may be made to the above, only with prior approval from the gym owners (e.g., service animals or specific circumstances).
